I appreciate the efforts of State Board Of Technical Education and Training, AP-Mangalagiri in providing quality education, practical training, and industry-relevant skills to students by changing the Curriculums frequently to meet the Industrial Standards.

VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT

Develop Computer Engineers to be technologically adept, innovative, self-motivated and responsible citizens with human values, high quality skills and to contribute significantly towards ever changing Computer Technologies.

MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT
  • To provide opportunity to Diploma students who are capable of playing pivotal role in wide aspects of modern Computer Engineering.
  • To make the students understand basic concepts underlying Computer Engineering and enable them to apply them creatively in different fields of Engineering.
  • To train the student to be sensitive to the Environment, safety and economic context.
  • To produce technically skilled students through intensive training in Computer Engineering tools and applications and to prepare the students for professional career and further research.

DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SUBJECTS

The Department of General Subjects has been part of this institution since its inception. The department consists of faculties of English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The Department of Technical Education has included these subjects in the diploma curriculum to help students grasp the essentials of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as these form the foundation for technical subjects. Communicative English is also part of the curriculum because of its key role in the technical field.


Academics:

  • Our Institute facilitates success in the desired careers of students in the field of Technical / Engineering to build a Progressive Nation.
  • Few students secured good ranks in ECET and joined University Campuses for higher studies.

Placements:

  • Some students secured placements in State / Central Government jobs and Multi-National Companies with Diploma qualification or after completion of Higher Studies.

OFFICE STAFF

INTRODUCTION

The Office Staff of Government Polytechnic, Obulavaripalli plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient administration and smooth functioning of the institution. The office serves as the administrative backbone by providing timely support to students, faculty, Government departments, and other stakeholders. It maintains transparency, accountability, and efficiency in all administrative processes while adhering to the rules and regulations of the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Department of Technical Education.

The office functions under the leadership of the Principal and is supported by a dedicated team comprising the Office Superintendent, Senior Assistants, Junior Assistants, and other supporting personnel. Each member contributes significantly to maintaining institutional excellence through systematic planning, effective coordination, and prompt service delivery.


OBJECTIVES

  • To provide timely and transparent services to students, faculty, and stakeholders.

a. STUDENT ADMISSION SECTION
  • Processing admissions as per Government norms.
  • Maintaining student admission registers and academic records.
  • Issuing Bonafide Certificates, Study Certificates, Transfer Certificates, Conduct Certificates, and Migration Certificates.
  • Maintaining student attendance, fee records, and identity card details.
b. ESTABLISHMENT SECTION
  • Maintaining service registers of teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Processing appointments, promotions, transfers, increments, and leave applications.
  • Preparation of seniority lists and confidential records.
  • Maintaining personal files and employee database.
c. ACCOUNT SECTION
  • Preparation and maintenance of budgets.
  • Processing salary bills and allowances.
  • Maintenance of cash books, contingent registers, and financial records.
  • Monitoring expenditure under various Government schemes.
  • Maintaining audit records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

  • Coordination with suppliers and Government agencies.
e. DISPATCH SECTION
  • Receiving, dispatching, and filing official correspondence.
  • Maintenance of inward and outward registers.
f. EXAMINATION SECTION
  • Coordination with the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh.
  • Processing examination applications and maintaining examination-related records.
  • Preparation of nominal rolls and examination records.
  • Distribution of hall tickets and certificates.
  • Maintenance of examination files and result records.
  • Assistance during the conduct of examinations.
g. SCHOLARSHIP SECTION
  • Maintaining scholarship records and coordinating with scholarship portals.
  • Disbursing the scholarship amount received from the Government to the students.
  • Maintaining scholarship-related records.
